Kevin Morris

Kevin Morris, an influential figure in surfing as a coach, competitor, and judge, led St. Augustine Prep’s surf team to defeat Ocean City High for the first time in 15 years at the 2013 Northeast High School Championships. He also led them to three NSSA High School Nationals (2011–2019). As a competitor, he was invited to major events, including the NSSA Nationals, US Championships, and NJ’s Grudge Match, placing 2nd in the AC Pro Series (2005). He has judged WSL events and the 2005 Red Bull Ice Break.

As a Shoreline Director for NJSHOF, he co-founded the South Jersey Boardriders Club, promoting community, culture, and conservation. The club received national recognition by being invited to the 2020 West Coast Boardriders Club Nationals. Morris’s career spans coaching, retail, and publishing, starting at Heritage Surf Shop and leading him to roles with Wave Action magazine. His industry impact brought NJ surf culture into the spotlight, and he remains committed to building its community and legacy.
